Apparently, if you pick up a bullhorn and start announcing “I HAVE A LITERARY AGENT!” while parading around the neighborhood at 6 am, your fanfare will consist of excited police sirens, joyous cursing, and bouquets of shoes lovingly lobbed in your direction.
But in case you missed my thrilling twilit tidings:
(deep inhale, lifts bullhorn)
I AM NOW REPRESENTED BY AMY COLLINS OF TALCOTT NOTCH LITERARY!
I could not be more excited to be working with Amy. She’s a powerhouse, full of sharp business sense, wit, charm, and kindness. She’ll be submitting my debut novel — ALL IS WELL, a slipstream science-fiction novel about an idealist’s descent into chaos as two radically opposed visions for her colony’s survival threaten to collapse it — to publishers soon.
(Eventually, I may write one of those “how I got my agent” (HIGMA) posts, because the journey of how I arrived here is so wild, Steve Irwin’s ghost asked if he could wrangle it.)
